Through the use of lightweight stretch Elastane nylon, a Windstopper membrane and light weight micro fleece, MontBell has created an ultra-light, full featured soft shell. Since their inception, soft shells, while providing numerous benefits, have been bulky and far from ultra light. This has led to their usage predominantly in conditions where they are worn continuously and never stowed in a pack. The CosmicTM Jacket will challenge this paradigm. Light weight and small compressed size allow it to be easily stowed as conditions change. The Windstoper membrane boosts the warmth to weight ratio and provides excellent water resistance. Generous pit zips and mesh lined core vent pockets provide a variety of venting options.
