Designed for professional guides, this large volume pack was born from a series of very specific requests:  a lighter, simpler freight hauler, with plenty of volume for bulky loads, zip access to the main compartment, a large outside pocket, flexible lashing options, and a suspension capable of handling 80 lb. loads in reasonable comfort.  The first few were easy, the last one harder.  Mountain Hardwear's solution: wrap their custom-shapeable FitLock hipbelt around a stiff framesheet to provide an excellent blend of load transfer and comfort.  The guides are pleased.
